a sad game for two players, to take not more than 15 minutes or the length of a ride home

sit facing your partner, or on the phone. each of you introduce your character. she has a name - preferably not your own - and she has two hopes for the future, each of which should involve a passion of hers. once you have each introduced yourselves, take turns describing how you can support your partner's hopes for the future, and share a dream of the two of you achieving that hope together. once you have each done this for each of your partner's hopes, you should each ask your partner, “would we have been good for each other?”, but do not answer out loud.

finally, decide, silently, why your characters will never know. do not share your answer with your partner. the game is over.
